ORBC Commission Meetings

Working Together for the Future of Oregon Berries

The Oregon Raspberry and Blackberry Commission (ORBC) is made up of Oregon public officials who volunteer their time for the economic betterment of the commodity. The ORBC operates with oversight from the Oregon Department of Agriculture. Commissioners carry out important decision-making for blackberries and raspberries grown in Oregon. Each year, commissioners develop and approve a budget using their assessments for non-branded promotion, research, and education programs. Commissioners determine the projects and programs to fund with assessments that growers and harvesters pay.

PACA TRAINING VIDEO

On March 14th, 2024, Stacy Semas of USDA, AMS, PACA Division presented “Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act Educational Seminar”. The intent was to educate growers and packers of how the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) promotes fair trade by establishing and enforcing a code of fair business practices and resolving disputes.

Upcoming Commission Meetings

The ORBC full commission meets a minimum of 8 times a year with committee meetings scheduled as needed. The list below includes all meetings scheduled January 2022-September 2022, will add meetings as they are scheduled.
