James Beard Award-winning Cookbook AuthorThe New York Times called her a “Culinary Guru” and she is known as the “Queen of Cookies”. Dorie Greenspan has won the James Beard Foundation Award five times, as well as receiving three honors from the International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook of the Year Award for Desserts by Pierre Hermé and Around My French Table and Dorie's Cookies. She has also been listed on the James Beard Foundation's Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America. She is releasing a new cookbook, Baking with Dorie, in the fall of 2021.
We had the rare opportunity to host a virtual Master Class with Dorie Greenspan. Her culinary expertise attracted an audience from all across the United States. Participants were thrilled to learn tips and techniques directly from Dorie as she utilized frozen Oregon blackberries in her custom crafted recipes.
She created several recipes using Oregon blackberries including a Blackberry Yogurt Cake and a Blackberry Umami Sauce, which is used in her recipe for Blackberry Chili Sauce Shrimp Fold Overs.
