Description

The Columbia Sunrise Blackberry was introduced in 2017 as a very early ripening, thornless trailing blackberry with medium-to-large, firm fruit. This blackberry variety has very good flavor and good yields of fruit that are suited for hand-harvested fresh and machine-harvested processed markets. The berries are firm and sweet, appear very dark purple or black in color. The Marion blackberry and Waldo blackberry are included in the Columbia Sunrise pedigree. The berries are available locally in Oregon to enjoy fresh, or can be used year round from frozen.
