Blackberry Crisp Cocktail

This Blackberry Crisp Cocktail is the ultimate before or after dinner drink. Inspired by the classic dessert, the richness of the Oregon blackberries and warmth of cinnamon are the perfect flavor combination, especially in a glass.

For the Blackberry Syrup (makes 2.5 cups of syrup)

4 Cups frozen blackberries
1 Cup granulated sugar
1 Cup water

For the Cocktail

1 oz butterscotch schnapps
½ oz Frangelico liqueur
¼ oz cinnamon whiskey
1 ½ oz blackberry syrup
4 oz club soda


Blackberry Syrup Preparation

Step 1
Combine ingredients in a saucepan.

Step 2
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for about 2 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved completely.

Step 3
Cool in the fridge. Strain out the solids using a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer. Makes about 2 1/2 cups.


Cocktail Preparation

Step 1
Combine the liquor and syrup in a shaker filled with ice and shake well to combine.

Step 2
Remove the lid and add the club soda, then strain into two cocktail glasses. Drop in a couple of frozen blackberries and serve.
